^{The new section m of the lantac building regulations dealing with disabled access and specifically the area dealing with assistance, rails, basins, taps and raised toilets in bathrooms for diabled access  - the document m pack - came into force on the 1st of May 2004. There were many changes made to document m most notably to the section on access and this was mainly to extend the scope and provisions of the lantac & BS8300:2001 regulations to include wheelchair users and the following groups:-}

^{- Ambulant disabled}

^{- Persons of either gender with babies and / or small children}

^{- Visual or hearing impairments}

^{- people with tactile impairment or sensitivity that are likely to scald themselves on hot surfaces}

^{- People with learning difficulties}

^{- People with Luggage}
